NORTHERN LIGHTS - DUBH AGUS GEAL
Spearheaded by the great Sean Nos singer, Lorcan Mac Mathuna, Northern Lights brings a new program in which Traditional Irish music and Ireland’s oldest singing style, sean nós, is put in contrast to Scandinavian musical traditions and singing styles. It uses the instruments (uillean pipes, hardanger fiddle, etc) and songs of Norse and Irish cultures to create a discourse between these traditions.

SWARBRICK - RAISON D'ETRE

Formerly known as the 2Duos, Litha are four renowned musicians - two from Scotland and two from Germany.
Aaron Jones and Gudrun Walther provide the lead voices with backing vocals from Claire Mann and Jürgen Treyz adding impressive four-part harmonies to the mix. The two men are the backbone of the rhythm and harmony as Jürgen’s guitar combines excellently with Aaron's bouzouki. Whether on fiddles, flute or diatonic accordion, the melody is provided by the girls.
