NORTHERN LIGHTS - DUBH AGUS GEAL Spearheaded by the great Sean Nos singer, Lorcan Mac Mathuna, Northern Lights brings a new program in which Traditional Irish music and Ireland’s oldest singing style, sean nós, is put in contrast to Scandinavian musical traditions and singing styles. It uses the instruments (uillean pipes, hardanger fiddle, etc) and songs of Norse and Irish cultures to create a discourse between these traditions.

SWARBRICK - RAISON D'ETRE Eight years in the making, four EFFDSS ‘Gold Badge’ award winners involved, previously unrecorded English music from the end of the seventeenth century and the first half of the eighteenth as well as a couple of self-penned tunes, together with a reworking of the opening track from Dave Swarbrick’s first ever album, are the basic ingredients of Dave Swarbrick’s latest masterpiece.

LITHA - DANCING OF THE LIGHT Formerly known as the 2Duos, Litha are four renowned musicians - two from Scotland and two from Germany. Aaron Jones and Gudrun Walther provide the lead voices with backing vocals from Claire Mann and Jürgen Treyz adding impressive four-part harmonies to the mix. The two men are the backbone of the rhythm and harmony as Jürgen’s guitar combines excellently with Aaron's bouzouki. Whether on fiddles, flute or diatonic accordion, the melody is provided by the girls.
