The new recording form Alasdair Fraser, Muriel Johnstone & Natalie Haas was inspired partly by the comprehensive book ‘The Songs of Robert Burns’ published in 1903. The recording presents airs and dance tunes that were popular in Scotland during the latter half of the 18th Century. Alasdair and Muriel have been playing music together for years, while Natalie Hass combined with Alasdair on the recent ‘Fire & Grace’ album.
