Since bursting on to the scene in 2001 with their debut CD ‘Through and Through’, Spiers and Boden have gone on to secure the position of being the most exciting new exponents of the English Tradition. Their third full-length album, simply titled ‘Tunes’, does, as the title suggests, only contain tunes – most of which are traditional, with a bunch of excellent self-penned ones in there also. A great album, and we can look forward to the follow-up ‘Songs’ later in the year.
