NEWS UPDATE
A
reasonably busy autumn with some gigs at clubs I haven’t played for a year or
so, namely Maske Robin Hoods Bay and Birmingham Trad. No duo gigs till next
March and then all with Saskia, Dave and I have decided that our days as a regular
duo are over. Dave is now far too busy with Banoffi who are
at last getting the level of work that they so richly deserve, so maybe the
odd Moss appearance but no more tours. I will miss those moments on stage when
the audience eye line moved away from me to my right and I just knew he would
be pulling a funny face at me or worse! A great five years, we had a good time.
Knight Gambit continues to do well. Even
Folk Roots, sorry “Fruits”! decided they quite liked it. By far the best reviews I have had for a CD. It has made the cover CD for a major
Italian mag and has been well received both in the rest of Europe and the States.
The next songwriter CD is now looming. I have all the material and it’s just
a question of when and with whom? Maybe Offspring again or on Drive On, I will
let you know. What is certain is that I will be doing lots of the new material
over the next few months so a new and revamped set from Oct onwards. As ever the constant search for gigs goes on.
