Mike's schizophrenic English/Welsh
ancestry has given him a rich bass baritone voice and a compulsion to
sing anywhere and at anytime (sometimes embarrassing his friends and relatives).
His late introduction to the secret world of the of the "folk scene"
saw him develop an instant liking for
the friendly, supportive people and songs he encountered. His first
solo booking was at Maidenhead
folk Club in 1989 and started
him on the long road leading to
performances at clubs and festivals all over the country. The warmth of
his personality and voice, sometimes accompanied by guitar, enhance the
atmosphere he creates and is being enjoyed by an increasing number of
people. His latest CD "Stone by Stone" was released in 2001
and has been well received everywhere. |
