Alison is a long established and highly respected singer who has appeared on numerous recordings, the latest of which include a solo CD 'Cloudberry Day' and a CD with her husband, Geordie McIntyre called 'Rowan in the Rock'. Both CDs were released on The Tradition Bearers label. She has also several publications to her credit. Her collection of Children's songs 'The Funny Family, is a classic of its type and in 'Herd Laddie of the Glen' she has compiled the songs of her friend and mentor, the late Willie Scott, the border shepherd and singer who was so important to Scotland's vocal tradition.
