Heather Heywood - Ayrshire-born, Heather undoubtably has one of Scotland's rarest and most distinctive voices, but what distinguishes her singing from that of many others is a quite exceptional depth of understanding about what she sings - new songs as well as old. Like all of the best folk musicians, she re-interprets her material in the light of her own experience and makes it uniquely and intensely her own.
